The Brothers Grimm - Terry Gilliam

Will and Jake Grimm are traveling con-artists who encounter a genuine fairy-tale curse which requires true courage instead of their usual bogus exorcisms. This was an interesting storyline and one a bit different to the other movies I had researched. The themes used throughout are very much dark as we wanted ours to be with a few hints of comedy, this was something we hadn't considered using given the genre but we have now considered adding in some light relief since watching the film. The monsters used are very much 'Tim Burton' style creatures; a human eating horse being just one of the many. The lighting techniques in the forest were very appealing to us and some of the close up shots they used were ones that we looked at for angles for our card flying around in the air.
